Fast and Clean but Missing the Perfect finish!

Brageot finishes 10th in Balaton after an over G penalty denies him victory against two time title holder Kirby Chambliss in the first round.

Lake Balaton threw out a few curve balls this week, but Brageot showed his natural ability to fly fast under pressure by coming 3rd in a day hampered by the weather, pitching him against 12th placed Kirby Chambliss in the Round of 14 on Race Day.

Kirby Chambliss, the most experienced pilot in the series, set a solid time of 1:00.223, but it looked like it wasn’t going to be quick enough to win the heat. Brageot was flying well and was 1.046s ahead at the final split time, but an over-G at Gate 13 and a lack of pace saw Brageot lose all that advantage, and finish 0.223s behind the American.

Although #11RACING are disappointed with the result today, they go on to Chiba knowing that the plane is fast, and the team is strong ahead of this final race, with an even larger hunger for a race win.

Stay tuned via social media channels (@Mika Brageot) The final race in the championship will be played out in Chiba, Japan 7th & 8th September.
